Pakistan test squad will play 3 tests against Australia
Wahab Riaz, the newly-appointed Chief Selector, revealed Pakistan’s lineup for the upcoming tour of Australia scheduled for next month.
Shan Masood will captain the Pakistani squad for the series, kicking off with the initial Test set to commence in Perth on December 14.

“The squad’s formation was tailored with the challenging Australian conditions in mind. We’ve accounted for the pitch conditions by bolstering our pace bowling resources, allowing flexibility in team combinations across all three Test matches,” remarked Riaz.
“Saim Ayub’s inclusion stems from his exceptional performance in the domestic season this year. His impactful batting in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and Pakistan Cup strongly advocated for his selection, fortifying our already robust batting lineup.
“Pakistan initiated the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 campaign successfully, following their triumph in Sri Lanka earlier this year. We’re optimistic that the team will carry this momentum into Australia. Our objective was to equip the team with the necessary resources for a successful campaign Down Under.”
Pakistan test squad will gather in Rawalpindi on November 22 for an intensive training camp scheduled until November 28 at the Pindi Cricket Stadium. Departure is slated for November 30 from Lahore.
Furthermore, a selection of additional players has been invited to participate in the training camp. Among those summoned are Arshad Iqbal, Kashif Ali, Mohammad Nawaz, Shadab Khan, Shahnawaz Dahani, Usama Mir, and Usman Qadir.
